Numbers is the fourth book of the Bible, the fourth Book of
Moses.
It continues the history of Israel from the Exodus, covering
the 40 years wandering in the wilderness. It includes the
numbering of the tribes, various laws and regulations for
personal relationships and for worship. It sets out the boundaries
of the land that the Israelites would occupy when they crossed
the river Jordan.
