Madness is a mental affliction in which men and women act
irrationally without regard to the harm they may do to themselves
and to others. Some are born mad, but in others it is brought
on by pressure of circumstances. The Jews became 'mad' with
jealousy when they witnessed the power, authority and influence
of Jesus with the people (see Luke 6:6-11).
In the eyes of the world around us it may appear madness to
become a Christian (see Acts 26:24-28), but in fact, Christianity
is the only refuge of sanity in a world which is becoming
increasingly irrational as the end of the age approaches.
