The Word of God.
We use the word 'Bible' to describe the Old and New Testament
scriptures together. It means simply 'Books'.
The Holy Bible means books which are 'set apart' for God's
purposes. The Old Testament deals with the history of God's
people from the beginning of the world until the time that
they returned from captivity.
The New Testament is about the life of Jesus Christ and the
establishment of the Christian Church and the fulfilling of
the purpose of God in the salvation of man and the restoration
of the earth.
