If we obey God we are adopted into the family of God, and we are the brothers and sisters of the Lord Jesus Christ. As the sons and daughters of God, we are the heirs to God's kingdom.

"Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." (Matthew 12:50).
"…now are we children of God." (1 John 3:2).

"Those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers." (Romans 8:29).
