2. Old Testament Passover feasts
Israel was instructed to celebrate their deliverance by an
annual feast, at which a 'Passover lamb' was killed and eaten
(in Exodus 12:26-27). In later years this feast was generally
neglected by Israel but remembered and kept up at times of
national reformation (see 2 Chronicles ch.30).
After the return of Israel from captivity the Passover was
kept as an annual feast.
