God, and Jesus Christ, Saving Man from Death.
In the Old Testament, men appointed and supported by God to
do the work of saving His people from their enemies were sometimes
called 'Saviours' (see 2 Kings 13:5, KJV; Nehemiah 9:27, KJV).
God Himself is our Saviour: "But I am the Lord Your God,
who brought you out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God
but Me, no Savior except Me." (Hosea 13:4; and see Luke
1:47; Jude :25).
God sent Jesus to be our Saviour: "And we have seen and
testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior
of the world." (1 John 4:14).
